Bloomfield Pointe Veterinary Hospital has a long standing History in the Pontiac community and surrounding areas. Established in 1947 by Dr. Besigar who operated the clinic up until the year of 1980 when Dr Tirmizi took ownership. With a growing demand for Veterinary care Dr. Tirmizi set out to expand the clinic and implemented at the time,the newest medical practices, and improved equipment. Dr. Tirmizi proudly served the community until June of 2021 as the owner of the clinic.
Your Pets, Our Priority
We are now under the ownership of Dr. Shayne Ballou. However, we have asked that Dr. Tirmizi continue serving his community part-time so that he may pass his vast knowledge and wisdom of the community and its lovable pets to us so that we may offer the best care possible for you and your animals.
Upgraded Tools, Enhanced Care
Since Dr. Ballou has taken over, many changes have been implemented, much the same as Dr. Tirmizi had done, with newer medical practices and upgraded equipment such as the following:
- Digital X-Ray
- In-house Blood Analyzer and Chemistry
- We also opened up the reception lobby to make it more of a comfortable and inviting space with a new 80-gallon cylinder fish tank, as one of Dr. Ballou’s favorite pastimes consists of keeping saltwater fish and exotic coral.
